Angela Oliver

Assistant Director, SILC- ETWRC Sexual Violence Prevention Services

Angela serves as Assistant Director – SILC for the Emily Taylor Women’s Resource Center. She received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Minnesota State University. In 2003, she received her M.S. from KU in medical sociology focusing on women’s health. Angela’s areas of interest include gender, culture, and economic development. She has pursued these fields abroad in Morocco, Turkey and South Africa where she studied Arabic, North African culture, women and Islam, and economic development. Angela was formerly a graduate teaching assistant at KU. Currently, Angela is completing her Ph.D. specializing in two areas: gender and economic development.
