Organ
There is a small pipe organ in Danforth Chapel. It is a beautiful instrument, but has some limitations. See Organists/musicians for more information.
Candelabra
Beginning January 1, 2008, the candelabras will no longer be available for use. Any wedding currently scheduled that has requested the candelabras will still be able to use them.
Rehearsals
Ceremony rehearsals must be reserved on the reservation form and are limited to one hour.

Electrical Outlets
Located throughout the chapel; there are outlets at the front of the chapel which may be used to connect an electronic instrument or sound system.
Guest Book
A lectern is available in the foyer of the Chapel. It may be used to hold the guest book, or placed in the front of the Chapel for the officiates.
Dressing Room/Restrooms
Thanks to the generosity of donors, Danforth Chapel now has a bride's room and handicapped-accessible restrooms for guests. The bridal room provides guests with a full-lenth mirror and vanity, with plenty of space to get ready for your ceremony.
Decorations
All decorations, such as flowers and candles, must be provided by the individual. Deliveries of flowers can be made to the Chapel only during reserved times. There are no vases available at the Chapel. There are two spaces on either side of the stage that can be used as a shelf for any arrangements you may have. If your decor requires a table or additional space, that will have to be provided by you or your florist.

The use of nails, pins or tape is prohibited.

Sound System
There is no amplified sound system in the Chapel. You may bring a stereo of your own for background music.
Rice/Birdseed
Throwing rice or any other materials (paper, confetti, etc.) is prohibited. Throwing birdseed is prohibited inside the Chapel, but is acceptable outside the Chapel doors. If birdseed or other material is used, the party who reserved the Chapel is also responsible for cleaning up all walkways and grassy areas before leaving the premises. If those areas are not cleaned, the party who reserved the Chapel will be assessed a 50.00 fee.
Parking
The parking lot behind Danforth Chapel is available for use during ceremonies or rehearsals. However, if your ceremony falls on the day of a home game, the parking lot may or may not be available. Additionally, parking anywhere on campus during a home game is very limited. Click here to view a table of restricted parking spaces during game days.

The Student Involvement and Leadership Center is not resonsible for any parking restrictions that may occur on the day of your ceremony.

Air Conditioning
Danforth Chapel is now equipped with more effiecient heating and air conditioning. If the air conditioning is not on, or if there is a malfunction of the system, contact Facilities and Operations at (785) 864-5572 or (785) 864-5913.
Food and Drink
No food or drink is allowed in Danforth except sacramental items, which must be provided by the participants.
Organist/Musicians
The University has designated a Danforth Chapel Organist/Music Coordinator who is available to perform weddings, christenings, memorial services and other appropriate events. Upon request, the organist will consult with the party making the reservation to discuss musical selections. The Danforth Chapel Organist can also suggest vocalists or other musicians the party may want to consider. If the reserving party wants to bring in another organist, this is possible, but should be discussed with the organist. Ministers
There is no "pastor" for the Chapel; however, several ministers affiliated with the Kansas University Religious Advisors (KURA) organization permit the publication of their names as possible officiates for weddings. They are as follows:
