Ascend KU is a four-phase comprehensive leadership program designed for KU students. Through the programs students can gain the theoretical background and practical skills necessary to be successful leaders at KU, in their commmunities, and in their future personal and professional lives. The program consists of four phases of intensive leadership development that focus on eqity, social justice, self-knowledge, personal empowerment, collaboration, citizenship, and service.
Students have flexibility within each phase to make it fit their needs, interest, and schedule. All four phases have minimum expectations and requirements that must be achieved to qulaify for the next phase. Those exceeding minimum expectations will be highly recognized as doing so.
