The Sophomore Leadership Challenge was created to provide second year students the opportunity to work with others for a common purpose and perform service. The program will begin in the fall semester with the group meeting weekly to obtain leadership training and education. Ascend KU participants will create proposals for a campus and/or community based project and present their proposals during the fall to the group. Individuals will be assigned to a project team based on interest. During the spring semester teams will work together to set goals, develop plans, and complete the project. Each team will have a staff member to serve as a resource in helping the team accomplish the goal.
