Student Involvement & Leadership Center offers a variety of
opportunities to enhance your leadership skills throughout the year.
Some of these programs and resources include the Student Leadership
Institute, LeaderShape, Minor in Leadership Studies, the Leadership
Enhancement Series, LeaderBits and a variety of workshops and lectures.

KU
LEAD promotes leadership as the desire, passion, vision, and action
that supports the advancement of an individual or group to a desired
outcome. KU LEAD develops and enhances a person's ability to coach,
cheer, and guide individuals. KU LEAD instills a collaborative learning
process that leads to change for the greater good. KU LEAD is about
helping individuals discover and fully maximize their personal best.

LEAD Learning Objectives:
- Create a learning atmosphere
that provides the opportunity to discover, explore, develop, and
practice leadership skills while integrating academic coursework
into campus and community involvement.
- Students will learn to implement the multifaceted
components of leadership, which range from the development and
enhancement of leadership skills to celebration and acknowledgement
of campus and community involvement.
- Students will learn new leadership styles,
models, approaches and theories.
- Students will see the value of and practice
decision making skills that reflect an understanding of the critical
role that diversity and multiculturalism have in personal and
group relationships.
- Student effort, contributions, and leadership
will be recognized and celebrated, assuring students that they
mattered and truly made a difference while here at KU.
