Emily Matteson hails from Haven, Kansas. Prior to KU, Emily attended Hutchinson Community College where she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Pre-Business. She graduated from KU in May of 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Before coming to SILC, Emily worked in the Dean's Office of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as a student assistant.

After taking a year off of school, Emily plans to begin working on her Masters in Communication Studies here at KU.
