DISTRIBUTION:  The amount of Beak ‘Em Bucks you select through Optional Campus Fees will be added to your KU Card after January 1, 2008 and prior to the first day of Spring classes, which is January 17, 2008.

BOCO (Freshman/Sophomore/Junior/Senior ($10.00 Ea.))

Support your Board of Class Officers (BOCO). Your class officers plan class projects and activities, select faculty, staff and students for awards, design the class banner and choose the annual class gift to the University.  Funds generated help pay for these projects.

CAREER COUNSELING AND PLANNING ($25.00)

This entitles students to an array of career counseling and assessment options, which includes but is not limited to:  two career assessment instruments, a computerized career exploration program, and other career exploration activities.  These are designed to address the unique needs of students who are undecided about their major or career direction and need information about the career possibilities for various majors.
Registration is valid from August 18, 2007 through August 17, 2008

JAYBOWL “ALL YOU CAN BOWL” WEEKEND PASS ($35.00)

Jaybowl “All You Can Bowl” Weekend Pass holders are entitled to free bowling and shoe rental every weekend beginning at 12:00 noon on Fridays and running through 9:00 p.m. on Sundays.  Even occasional users of the Jaybowl would benefit from this amazing special considering that one game with shoe rental cost $3.50...That’s like paying for a dozen games of bowling and getting the rest free for the entire semester.  Valid for the spring 2008 semester only.

Rich in history, one of the only yearbooks of its kind in the nation, the Jayhawker Yearbook chronicles a year at KU with vivid accounts and images of student life and sports.

JOB SEARCH-ENGINEERING ($25.00)

For ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCE students (undergraduate and graduate students) Employment and Internship Services entitles student to participate in the following, all online through KU Career Connections: on-campus interviewing for internships/co-ops and full-time positions, inclusion in the Web Resume Book (a searchable database accessed by employers), access to job postings (internships, full-time, and part-time positions), and access to information about company visits to campus. Please note that for Engineering & Computer Science students, KU Career Connections is a one-time fee, good until six months after graduation (Services begin January 1, 2008).

DISTRIBUTION: To complete your registration for KU Job Search-Employment and Internship Services, go to the Engineering Career Center, 1001 Eaton Hall, 785-864-3891, to obtain a username and password.

KU FIT GROUP FITNESS PASS (Spring Semester $50.00)

KU Fit group fitness sessions are designed to increase fitness and reduce stress. Over forty sessions are offered each week including a variety of cardio, strength, yoga and Pilates.  The KU Fit session schedule can be found online at www.recreation.ku.edu. Options are provided in every class making KU Fit classes appropriate for all fitness levels. Let a certified fitness instructor motivate and lead your mind and body through a workout!  KU Fit session passes allow student card holders to attend all sessions listed on the KU Fit schedule as often as they like during the semester!

START DATE:  KU Fit sessions will begin the first full week of the semester and end prior to finals week. There are no sessions held over semester breaks, holidays or other dates specified on the schedule.

DISTRIBUTION:  To complete your registration and obtain your KU Fit pass please stop by the administrative office (Room 103) of the Student Recreation Fitness Center.  Distribution will begin the first day of school each semester.

REFUND POLICY:  There are no refunds except in the case of medical issues.

KU ON WHEELS SEMESTER BUS PASS ($75.00)

Purchase of a spring semester bus pass gives you unlimited access all semester to all KU on Wheels routes!  KU on Wheels operates when class is in session Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Bus service will begin the first day of classes and conclude after the last day of finals.   Maps of the routes are available at KU Parking & Transit (in the parking garage north of Allen Fieldhouse), KU Info (4th Floor of the Kansas Union), throughout campus, and online at www.kuonwheels.ku.edu.

DISTRIBUTION:  To receive your KU on Wheels bus pass in the mail, please respond to the email that will be sent to you, asking you to confirm your mailing address.   In the case that you do not reply or have a photo from the KU Card Center, you should pick up your bus pass starting January 7, 2008, at KU Parking & Transit (in the parking garage north of Allen Fieldhouse).  KU Parking & Transit is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. 

The bus pass is the property of KU on Wheels and the responsibility of the pass-holder.  Fraudulent use will result in disciplinary action and/or a fine.   Lost or stolen bus passes may be replaced for a fee.

Online cancellation of the KU on Wheels bus pass must be made by December 31, 2007.  Thereafter, full refunds for the semester will be granted until February 8, 2008 at KU Parking & Transit.  Please visit www.kuonwheels.ku.edu or email kuonwheels@ku.edu with additional questions.

SLAB ($5.00)

Your contribution to the Student Legislative Awareness Board (SLAB) directly supports lobbying activities by KU students for KU students.  SLAB represents KU student interests to the Congress, the Kansas State Legislature, the Lawrence and Douglas County commissions, and other governing bodies as necessary. Also SLAB coordinates voter registration drives on campus as well as provides contributors with updates on state and local issues via newsletters and email correspondence, a student voter's guide during election years, admission to special SLAB events, as well as first notice of all SLAB activities.

SUA PREFERRED STUDENT CARD ($20.00—Spring Only)

The SUA Preferred Student Card is your ticket to movies and events on the KU campus.  With this card you get access to approximately 8 to 10 movies shown by Student Union Activities - from new releases to independent films.  Along with this great movie benefit, you are entitled to discounts on select major ticketed events including headlining comedians, national touring bands, and outstanding speakers.  The card also gives you the ability to buy highly sought after tickets in advance of other KU students.  This ensures that you get premium seating and the convenience of not having to wait in line for many of SUA’s events.  Valid for the spring 2008 semester only. 

DISTRIBUTION:  Distribution begins January 17, 2008 in the SUA Box Office.

REFUND POLICY:  Full refunds for unused SUA Preferred Student Card will be issued through January 31, 2008 at the SUA Office.  Refunds are not available for individual events.
