Colors of KU

This is a weekend retreat devoted specifically to exploring, teaching, learning, and celebrating the many unique and wonderful complexions, cultures and backgrounds that exist right here in our university community. Participants experience a variety of exercises and simulations that help them identify and clarify their own strengths and challenges within the topic of diversity and multiculturalism. The program originated from the Office of Multicultural Affairs after an OMA student graduated from LeaderShape Institute and approached OMA about possibly making this a reality. Planning for the fourth annual Colors of KU is already underway in collaboration with departments like the Student Involvement & Leadership Center, Freshman-Sophomore Advising, and the Student Success office.
