Hawk Week is for You!
What is Hawk Week? Hawk Week is the official welcome week for students at the University of Kansas! It is full of fun, information, and programs that highlight the opportunities available to students at KU. Hawk Week events are a great way to meet new friends, learn about University offices, and get involved. Click here for a listing of all events during Hawk Week.
In the event of inclement weather, all outdoor events will be cancelled.

Student Groups- Get Involved!
The Student Involvement & Leadership Center (SILC) registers over 550+ student groups annually on the KU campus! There are many opoorutnities for you to Get Involved! You can view all 550+ of our student groups online by visiting the student organizations website. Once you get settled in on the campus, find a group or two that interest you and check them out! Or, if your group interest is not listed, you can start a new group on campus. For more info on starting a group, contact SILC at 864-4861 or visit the SILC site on what is needed to start a student organization. Good luck and have fun!
If you are interested in joining a group, there are two student group information fairs set during Hawk Week:
1. Tuesday, Aug. 19th, 7:00-9:00 p.m. on the Strong Hall Lawn. There will be approximately 100 groups in attendance.
2. Friday, Aug. 22nd, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Kansas Union. There will be approximately 80 groups in attendance.

Valuable Resource- KU Info!
Do you want to know how many trees are on the KU campus? Or where to go to get tickets to the KU games? KU Info is here to help you navigate KU. Give them a call at (785) 864-3506, search online, or visit us the Info Booth, 4th floor of the KS Union. The KU Info staff is dedicated to helping the extended KU community with information about KU life and beyond.

KU Student Success!

The division of Student Success oversees many campus resources and auxiliary services to assist KU students in and out of the classroom. The KU Student Success provides academic, professional and personal support to students and has a dedicated staff to help you along the way. To learn more about KU Student Success visit their main office in Strong Hall, Room 133 or call (785) 864-4060.

Kansas Athletics- See the Action!
Rock Chalk Rewards
Rock Chalk Rewards is back for this fall. Students who participated last year will be able to use their same card. New members can sign up for the Rock Chalk Rewards program and receive a card for free. Earn points by simply visiting the Rock Chalk Rewards table at each Kansas Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Baseball or Softball home game you attend to have your key tag scanned. As you accumulate points you’ll earn great prizes such as exclusive adidas apparel, gift certificates and more.
Point Levels
5 points: Walk-On
10 points: Jayhawk
25 points: Captain
40 points: All-Big 12
60 points: All-American
85 points: National Champion

Kansas Football 2007
Kansas Football. We’re Just Getting Started
Aug. 30 vs. Florida International

The 2008 Orange Bowl Champion and 13th ranked Kansas Football team will open the 2008 season at Memorial Stadium on August 30th at 6:00 p.m. against Florida International. The 2008 schedule includes seven home games including Sunflower Showdown rival Kansas State on November 1st.

Kansas Soccer and Volleyball
Kansas Soccer and Volleyball will return to action this fall looking for a spot in the post season. Students receive free admission to all Kansas Soccer and Volleyball games with a valid KU ID.
